As part of MCE’s flexible services contract with the city of Portland, Bureau of Parks and Recreation, MCE provided stamped structural calculations and structural drawings for the 40’ x 6’ wide timber-framed pedestrian bridge spanning over Tryon Creek. The new bridge was a replacement for the existing deteriorated bridge at the site. In addition, concrete abutment walls were designed and detailed to support the bridge framing. MCE also coordinated with geotechnical and environmental subconsultants to ensure the bridge design addressed the soil and hydraulic concerns at the site.
