Eric is an experienced designer performing Tier 1 analysis per ASCE 41-17 of existing structures and preparing preliminary retrofit drawings as well as cost estimates to submit to Oregon’s Seismic Rehabilitation Grant Program. He designs retrofits for existing school buildings and gymnasiums to conform to Immediate Occupancy and Life Safety performance levels per ASCE 41-17. Eric enjoys collaboration with other disciplines and brainstorming solutions to ensure his projects move forward on schedule and budget. His background as a CNC operator and trainer, and his work in residential construction, add a valuable depth of experience to inform his technical abilities. His portfolio is expanding to include new structure design.

As an Associate Structural Engineer I you will:
  • Perform calculations, develop loading requirements, & create accurate & concise drawings
  • Communicate effectively & professionally with senior engineers & clients regarding status of new & ongoing projects
  • Pay attention to client expectations & scope adjustments, work closely with senior engineers
  • Perform research & conduct field investigations
 
Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • PE license & 3+ years of experience is required
  • Preferred to have personal vehicle & the minimum required Oregon insurance for site visits
  • Ability to generate creative solutions within existing limitations
