Currently Hiring:
Associate Structural Engineer I (3+ years experience and license)
As an Associate Structural Engineer I you will:
- Perform calculations, develop loading requirements, & create accurate & concise drawings
- Communicate effectively & professionally with senior engineers & clients regarding status of new & ongoing projects
- Pay attention to client expectations & scope adjustments, work closely with senior engineers
- Perform research & conduct field investigations
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- PE license & 3+ years of experience is required
- Preferred to have personal vehicle & the minimum required Oregon insurance for site visits
- Ability to generate creative solutions within existing limitations
- Balances team and individual responsibilities
- Contributes to positive team spirit

As a Principal of Miller Consulting Engineers, Inc., Mr. Leichty has been performing structural design work since 2001. With in-depth knowledge of multiple construction materials and building systems, Andrew brings a unique ability to provide creative solutions to complex building projects. His experience working collaboratively with both the design and construction team provides valuable insight into developing structural systems that balance both the architectural design intent and the construction budget. His past projects include commercial, residential and industrial building design and renovation, design of complex foundation systems, and seismic evaluations and upgrades. His knowledge and experience includes a wide array of materials including wood, structural steel, concrete, masonry, and light gauge steel framing.
