Project Story
MCE was hired to analyze and upgrade the roof structure of the sub-grade boiler room to support approximately 6" of soil. The modifications to the room included a seismic upgrade. A unique aspect of this project was that the entire room is below grade and supports a lawn on the roof. The modifications and upgrade were designed using the 2006 International Building Code. MCE was responsible for the design of the framing to support the roof.
