MCE's scope of services included design of a complete lateral and vertical structural upgrade to an existing 22,000 square foot building along the bank of the Columbia River due to a change of occupancy. Site considerations included high liquefaction probability as well as high wind loading requirements. Existing deteriorated wood piling was removed and replaced and a new concrete bulkhead wall was constructed along two sides of the structure.
