Non-Building Structures
Project Details
Project Story
As part of this alternative energy project, Miller Consulting Engineers, Inc. performed the structural design to facilitate this replacement heating facility. The heating system utilizing biomass wood materials as a fuel that would otherwise be disposed of as trash. By recycling unwanted materials the facility has seen an 80% reduction in fuel costs. This heating facility serves the Harney County Circuit Court, Sheriff’s Office, and Jail, as well as Slater Elementary and Symmetry Care, a mental health center. In collaboration with Wisewood Energy we are proud to have been able to provide the structural engineering design for this project.
