MCE provided seismic bracing design for a clean room ceiling and floors including support for production equipment ranging from 200 lbs to 10,000 lbs at TriQuint SemiConductor's facility.

 

In this project the client requested that the design forces be developed to provide continuing operation following a code level seismic event. Special considerations for the facility required that a structural needs assessment was performed to confirm the required structural performance of the facility.

 

Our knowledge and experience with high tech clients allow us to provide recommendations of strengthening measures that meet the clients' goals for each project. Understanding the special needs of these facilities, as well as the related costs associated with the loss of production as a result of an earthquake, is often critically important for these projects.
