Pabst Unicorn Statue

Project Story
Miller Consulting Engineers performed the design of a temporary statue and support platform for the Pabst unicorn for the Waterfront Festival. The statue was supported by an inner steel frame supported by a steel-framed platform. The structure was designed for vertical dead load and live forces and lateral wind and seismic forces. Due to the fact that there were no fixed connections to the grade, all lateral and vertical forces were resisted by the base platform.
